The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon finalizes its overall coordination and safety plan at the Consell d’Eivissa

The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon held today at the Consell d’Eivissa its global coordination and safety meeting, a key milestone in the final stages of preparations for the ninth edition, set to take place on April 18. All stakeholders involved in the event took part in the session, with the aim of ensuring the smooth delivery of the race and maximum safety for runners, supporters, and local residents.

During the meeting, the main operational aspects of the event were reviewed in detail, with particular focus on the safety plan, mobility strategies, and scheduled road closures, as well as the coordination of emergency and medical services. All of this is aimed at ensuring a seamless experience both for participants and for the island’s residents.

In this regard, the organization reminds that all information related to road closures, schedules, and traffic disruptions is already available on the official event website, in order to help participants, locals, and visitors plan their movements throughout the weekend.

The meeting also served to reinforce collaboration between institutions and involved bodies, highlighting the key role of the Consell d’Eivissa, local councils, security forces, Civil Protection, medical services, and the organizing team. This level of coordination is essential for an event that will bring together thousands of runners from all over the world.

With just a few days to go before the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, the organization is now finalizing the last details with confidence, having established a solid and well-prepared operational plan for an edition that will once again place Ibiza on the international running map.

A weekend that goes beyond the race

The event will kick off on Friday with the opening of the Runner’s Expo, a meeting point for participants and companions, where various pre-race activations will also take place, including a training session with Dani Mateo. On Saturday morning, it will be time for the Santa Eulària Kids Run Caixabank, a race designed for the youngest participants, combining sport, fun, and values.

Later in the afternoon, the highlight of the weekend will arrive with the start of the three race distances —42K, 22K, and 12K— in a unique sunset format, taking runners through some of the island’s most iconic locations before finishing in Santa Eulària des Riu.

The experience does not end at the finish line. As tradition dictates, the event will close with the Run and Feel party, featuring three different venues —Teatro Pereyra, Keeper, and Las Dalias— where runners and their companions can celebrate the experience in an atmosphere that blends sport, music, and lifestyle.
