As expected, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon has sold out. More than 6,000 participants will gather on April 12th for this spectacular celebration of sport—a historic milestone.
The event once again sets a new record, with all three race distances—Marathon, 22K, and 12K—completely sold out. For the second consecutive year, it will be the largest sporting event in the island’s history.
Firmly positioned in April within the international marathon calendar, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon has become a favorite season opener for national and international runners. Remarkably, 70% of registered participants are from abroad. The United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands lead the number of foreign participants, but the marathon’s reach even extends beyond Europe, welcoming athletes from New Zealand, Colombia, Venezuela, and the United States.
Another remarkable achievement for the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon is the number of female runners, surpassing 2,500—an impressive figure that few sporting events of this scale can boast.
The growth of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon in recent years is undeniable. Besides encouraging healthy lifestyles among locals, the event significantly boosts tourism during the island’s off-peak months, contributing substantially to Ibiza’s hospitality and restaurant sectors.
