Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon donates €4,000 to Com Tu! APNEEF

The organization of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon has presented a €4,000 cheque to “Com Tu! APNEEF” (Association of People with Special Needs of Ibiza and Formentera), which has recently adopted a new name while maintaining the same spirit and mission. The association’s president, Noemí Boned, received the funds raised during the eighth edition from Silvia Comeche, the event’s director. This contribution was made possible thanks to the donations made by participants across the race’s three distances.

“The goal is to highlight the work carried out by Com Tu! APNEEF and support the association so it can have more resources to assist people with special needs in Ibiza and Formentera,” explained the race organizers.

Renewal of the agreement with Com Tu! APNEEF

The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon has renewed its collaboration with Com Tu! APNEEF, reaffirming a partnership that goes beyond sport and has become one of the pillars of the project.

As a result, the association will continue to be the event’s official charity partner, playing a transversal role across the three distances — 42K, 22K and 12K — and allowing participants to add their contribution during the registration process.

Com Tu! APNEEF carries out important work in Ibiza focused on supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families, promoting initiatives that encourage inclusion and equal opportunities on the island. This constant and close-to-the-community work finds in the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon both a platform and a means of support.

Com Tu! will open the sporting programme

On Saturday morning, members of the Com Tu! association will once again open the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon race programme with their traditional solidarity run. It is a very special moment in which the association’s users themselves take the start line to enjoy the atmosphere of the event and share one of the most emotional moments of the weekend with the public.

This race, which has become one of the most symbolic images of the event, represents the inclusive spirit of the marathon and the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon’s commitment to participation that is open to the whole community.

“For our users, opening the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon is not only about starting a major sporting event, but about feeling part of something big. It’s the excitement of being on the start line, hearing the applause and realizing that their effort and enthusiasm matter. The nerves before the race always turn into pride and joy when they cross the finish line. It is a moment as beautiful as it is emotional, and one that they remember every year with great affection. For us as an association, it is yet another demonstration that sport is a space for everyone,” explained representatives from Com Tu!.

In a race that combines Mediterranean scenery, sports tourism and international participation, commitment to the island once again takes center stage. Because beyond the clock and the finish line, what truly remains is the mark that is left behind.
