biza stands among Europe’s most beloved island destinations — a magnet for travelers, athletes, and adventurers who are always looking to go one step further. Beyond being an iconic place to unwind and enjoy the Mediterranean landscapes, the island has also become a gathering point for sports lovers — and especially for running enthusiasts.
In just eight editions, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon has established itself as one of the most sought-after races among national and European runners. Its next edition, scheduled for April 18, 2026, is shaping up to be another unforgettable one, judging by current registration figures: more than 2,500 participants are already confirmed, 50% of them women — a milestone that highlights the strong appeal the island and the race hold for female runners.
The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon also stands out for its unmistakably international character. Around 70% of participants come from outside Spain. The United Kingdom leads the way, accounting for more than 20% of all entrants — meaning one in every five runners will travel to Ibiza from the British Isles. The Netherlands follows with 11%, Italy with 8%, and France with nearly 7%. The event will also welcome athletes from countries such as Colombia, Canada, Argentina, and Venezuela.
The growth of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon over the past two years leaves no doubt: it has become the largest sporting event in Ibiza’s history. Its success goes far beyond running itself. As an evening race, it offers the unique experience of running while watching the sun set over the Mediterranean. The mild April climate makes it ideal not only for racing but also for exploring the island and enjoying its relaxed rhythm. Ibiza’s cosmopolitan yet deeply Mediterranean gastronomy, with restaurants offering both global and traditional cuisine, is another irresistible part of the experience.
Organized by Talentum Group and proudly carrying the #RunAndFeel spirit, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon is gearing up for its ninth edition with optimism. Registration remains open for its three race formats — 12K, 22K, and 42K — and all signs suggest that bibs will once again sell out.
