With just three months to go until race day, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon has already surpassed 4,000 registered runners, a figure that reflects the growing interest among running enthusiasts in a race that stands out on the calendar. The Balearic event has successfully combined sport, tourism and destination into a race that goes far beyond simply logging kilometres. Participants in the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon are looking for — and finding — a complete, all-round experience packed with highlights throughout the entire weekend.
The mild climate of the Balearic Islands and the paradisiacal setting of Ibiza, together with its strong international appeal, have turned this race into one of the most sought-after events on the calendar. And not only for Spanish runners, who account for 28% of registered participants for the upcoming edition, but also for thousands of athletes from around the world who travel to Ibiza to enjoy the experience.
Every April, according to registration data, the island becomes an international meeting point: more than 70% of runners will travel from abroad. In this respect, the countries with the strongest representation on April 18 will be the United Kingdom (18.6% of registered runners), the Netherlands (10.6%), Italy (10.1%), France (7.2%), Belgium (6.3%) and Germany (4.8%). This ninth edition will also welcome participants from countries such as Sweden, Venezuela, Argentina, Denmark, Poland, Ireland, Austria, Colombia and the United States.
The event’s growing international profile and the strong pace of registrations — both highly valued by the organising team at Talentum Group — are clear signs of the remarkable growth the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon has experienced in recent years. In addition, an increasing number of running and athletics clubs are choosing to travel to Ibiza to take part in the event and share unforgettable moments and experiences with friends.
To encourage club participation, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon offers exclusive race-bib discounts based on the number of members. Furthermore, in the past two editions, numerous elite athletes, influencers, content creators and popular runners with great charisma have chosen Ibiza as the setting for new sporting challenges. Names such as Dani Mateo (Olympic marathon runner), Yesica Mas (2022 Spanish marathon champion), Dennis Kimetto (former marathon world record holder), Valentí Sanjuan, Álex Roca (athlete with a physical disability) and Mario Martínez (deafblind athlete) have all taken part in the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon across its different distances.
Now firmly established as the largest sporting event on the island, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon is once again heading towards a sell-out, having completely filled all available race entries in the previous edition.
