Last chance: Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon is running out of bibs for three distances

The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon is about to sell out its bibs for the eighth edition. The Balearic race recently surpassed 5,000 registered runners, and everything points to the last spots being assigned in the coming days for each of the three race distances: marathon, 22K, and 12K.

Thus, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon will experience another record-breaking edition on April 12. In 2024, the race became the largest sporting event ever held on the island, with 5,200 participants.

Now firmly established in the national marathon calendar in April, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon has become the top choice for many national and international runners. Seventy percent of participants who have already secured their bibs come from abroad. The United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands contribute the most participants to the event. However, the reach of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon goes beyond European borders, with athletes from New Zealand, Colombia, Venezuela, and the United States also set to take part.

Additionally, another significant milestone for the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon is that the number of registered female runners exceeds 2,500—a figure that very few sporting events of this scale can boast.

The growth of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon in recent years is undeniable. Beyond promoting healthy lifestyles among island residents, the event also helps to extend the tourist season in a destination that receives most of its visitors in the summer months. As a result, the race also serves as an economic boost for key sectors in Ibiza, such as hospitality and catering.
