The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon is entering the final stretch ahead of its next edition with news that confirms its consolidation on both the national and international sporting calendar. With just over three months to go before race day, the organisers have announced that only 300 spots remain to fill the available quota for the marathon distance.
This pace of registrations places the Ibiza event very close to a sell-out in its flagship race — the most demanding distance on the programme and officially certified by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) over the regulation 42.195 kilometres. The course, which starts at the Port of Ibiza right by the sea and finishes in the town of Santa Eulària des Riu, runs through four of the island’s five municipalities and passes some of Ibiza’s most iconic locations. In addition, as an afternoon race, participants are treated to a spectacular sunset during the event itself.
The event, which blends sport and tourism to offer a truly immersive experience, once again reinforces its international character. According to current registration data — with 4,000 runners already signed up across the three race distances — more than 70% of participants will be travelling from abroad. After Spain, which accounts for 28% of registered runners, the strongest represented countries are the United Kingdom (18.6%), the Netherlands (10.6%), Italy (10.1%), France (7.2%), Belgium (6.3%) and Germany (4.8%). Runners from Sweden, Venezuela, Argentina, Denmark, Colombia and the United States have also already secured their bibs.
The Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon will take place on 18 April 2026 and will once again feature three race distances. Alongside the marathon, two additional events over 22 and 12 kilometres will be held. Organised by Talentum Group, the event has made a significant qualitative and quantitative leap in recent years, establishing itself as one of the most sought-after spring marathons thanks to the combination of an attractive course, mild climate and meticulous organisation.
